The latest version of Matlab 2012 contains many new features as well as an upgrade to the programming language. A rewritten GUI and graphics engine, which has resulted in a smoother user interface with more responsive interaction between mouse and matlab commands.
By Plotting in Matlab means to graph data points on a two-dimensional surface, and Matlab 2010a features some improvements in this area. For instance, the new version of matlab comes with over 200 built-in plots for different types of graphs as well as many tools to customize them.
The software is available both as compiled executables and source code. To access the compiled executables, click the links in the table below. The source code is housed in a GitHub repository, available here as a ZIP archive. To install, extract the contents of the ZIP file, ensuring that the folder structure in the file is preserved, and start VMT.m in Matlab version 2012a or newer. Note that to enable full functionality of VMT in source code mode, you will need the Mapping Toolbox license in your distribution of Matlab.

It is developed by Christian Gaser and Robert Dahnke (Jena University Hospital, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology) and free but copyright software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the Licence, or (at your option) any later version.
The advantage of the standalone version is that no Matlab license is needed. Only the (free) Matlab Runtime R2017b (v93) has to be downloaded. However, there are some limitations (e.g. no parallelization and no interactive help in the GUI version) and the standalone version is mainly intended to run without GUI on Unix systems. Please do NOT download the zip file from the EEGLAB GitHub repository as it is missing important EEGLAB plugins not included in the EEGLAB code base. If you want to use the development version of EEGLAB, clone it and include submodules as explained below.

The library for Numerical Linear Analysis has been completely rewritten and split into a Linear Analysis library and a Numerical Differentiation library. A filter for the ODM (open data model) has been included. The GUIs have been optimized for running on Quartz (Mac OS X) and X11 (Linux) graphical systems.
February 2, 2008: PSAT version 2.0.0. The whole PSAT code has been rethinked and rewritten using classes and object oriented programming techniques. Each device is defined by a class with attributes and methods. The algorithms of PF, CPF, OPF, SSSA and TD have been rewritten, improved and made more robust. The Simulink library has been renewed using "physical" components. This avoids the directionality of control blocks and allows producing high quality network schemes. Added the status field to most components. A component can be put on-line or off-line by toggling its status. New more reliable versions of TCSC, SSSC and UPFC devices and Power Oscillations damper model has been provided by H. Ayres, M. S. Castro and A. Del Rosso. The HVDC model has also been rewritten. Several new filters for data format conversion have been added. Most filters has been provided by J. C. Morataya. PSAT has been tested with very large static and dynamic networks (up to 15000 buses). The logo of PSAT has been changed.
